Spring Cleaning Recycling Event

Join Kokua Market and Hagadone Recycling on the Spring Equinox to clean out your glossy magazines, catalogs, flyers, junk mail & phone books for recycling.

The goals of this event are to decrease waste, promote environmentally-friendly practices, be a good neighbor, and let the community know about the benefits of a cooperative grocery store.

Those who contribute recyclables get a coupon for a free oatcake and coffee that is good during the event. For owners who come in that day, they get a 10% discount off all their purchases in the store during the recycling event. (You must bring in recycling to receive this discount.) Pick up a receipt for the items after dropping them off, and it can then be turned in to the cashier for the discount.

(Please note: they do not accept cardboard, paperboard or newspaper.)

That sounds like a great event, and owners get 10% off purchases as well. We will be happy to get rid of old phone books, magazines and other glossy materials. I'll be there.
